My name is Father Bill Edens. I’m a member of the Missionary Society of St. Paul the Apostle. I’m a Roman Catholic Priest, and I serve at St Philip Neri Parish at Southeast Division.

Welcome, to you, to this website. To Portland Aha. We want to hear your “Aha” moment. We want you to hear others. A moment where, perhaps you have a sudden insight, or a sense that you really have to do something.

Or, maybe a transcendental moment where you feel like you’re connected with all of humanity and with all of the universe.

Or it could be a really sad, grief-filled moment, where you feel all alone. But whatever it is, somehow, it helps you feel that you’re part of something bigger than yourself. You may be religious or not religious. You might be Buddhist, or Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Catholic, Protestant, Evangelical; you could be with no religion at all, you could be atheist, you could be agnostic.

But whatever it is, we know that there’s so much tension and polarization in the world and whole religious groups are being dismissed. It’s so important for us to find a common humanity, and to be able to talk about things with each other. So we welcome you to look at the videos on this site, and to see the “Aha” moments that people are having here. And then if you would like to share your story with us, please contact me and we would love to get your story.

We will be going on the road as well, so let us find you so you can tell us your “Aha” moment.
